Chat not responding? Try these solutions

Common causes:

• Server is processing your request (can take 30-60 seconds)

• Browser or connection issue

• Insufficient dreamcoins

• Content was flagged by moderation system

• Character is offline or unavailable

1. Wait and check

• Wait 60 seconds - responses can take time to generate

• Check if you see "typing..." indicator

• Don't send multiple messages quickly (this can cause delays)

2. Check your dreamcoins

• Chat responses use dreamcoins if you use the Genius/Lively Genius model

• Go to https://ourdream.ai/profile to check balance

• If balance is low, purchase more coins or wait for subscription renewal

3. Refresh your browser

• Click browser refresh button (F5 or Cmd+R)

• This often resolves temporary connection issues

• Your chat history will be preserved

4. Clear cache and cookies

• Browser cache can cause issues

• Clear cache for ourdream.ai specifically

• Or try incognito/private browsing window

5. Try different browser

• Switch to Chrome, Firefox, or Safari

• Different browsers can handle chat differently

• Make sure browser is up to date

6. Check internet connection

• Unstable connection can interrupt chat

• Try refreshing page if connection drops

• Use stable WiFi instead of mobile data if possible

If chat suddenly stops responding, your message may have triggered content filters. There will be a flag that appears for this.

What to do:

• Review your last message for prohibited content

• Rephrase more generally

• Check content guidelines at https://ourdream.ai/profile

• Try a different character or topic

If chat works with some characters but not others:

• Character may be technically complex and the model is having a hard time parsing the information given

• Character creator may have made it private (there will be a popup saying this)

• Try a different character to confirm chat is working

2. Click "Request Help"

3. Include:

   • Which character you're chatting with

   • When the issue started

   • What you've already tried

   • Screenshot of the issue (if possible)
